Like many of you, I've been redirecting elementary questions to Ask Dr. Math. I just went over there today, and I'm not sure they are still functioning actively enough to handle all of the questions we close. Their website says they receive 200-300 questions a day, but I am skeptical. Of the roughly 240 questions in their calculus category, only one is from the last year.

I sent an e-mail to the Dr. Math administrators and will update if I get a reply. In the meantime, should we look for a different site?

From a bit of googling, I suspect that answer is due to Stephen Minter, so you might ask him.

More generally, I turned up this press release dated December 1, 2009 referring to new things Math Forum is doing. It seems that Math Forum (which is the organization of which Ask Dr. Math is, or was, a part) still exists. And from this workshop listing, Math Forum referred to itself as "home of Ask Dr. Math" as recently as November 2009. I suppose it's possible that they would say this even if the site is no longer active, though, as it was active for a long enough period to build up a pretty substantial archive.
